Path & Pace

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.”
‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭

At times, it is difficult to try new things. To step out of one’s comfort zone. It can also be thrilling when the new thing connects with your passions, motivators and values. These past couple of months, my hubby and I helped to launch a school for our kids, I started to help launch a new location for Females in Action in our town, and I am starting a new position at our new school. All of this newness has forced me to grow in my faith and leave my comfort zone. In each new launch or activity, I am learning to let go of my ideal and trust God with my expectations and the results. Coaching has provided boundaries to be consistent in aligning my passions with these pursuits. I am learning in this process of coaching others what growth looks like, while all the while finding the right path and pace.

FIT
Working out and keeping fit has been a constant goal for me. I have always had running partners to hold me accountable and recently I have joined a new group, FiA Naperville, that provides a more boot camp style workouts to provide strength to my cardio. This group is completely peer-lead and free. It provides accountability and support to women no matter ability or age. Keeping fit may look different for everyone. The focus is always you against you. God designed us to care for ourselves and others. Keeping FIT requires both finding your path and pace.

FAITH
I woke up on the first day of my kids new school at 5am feeling completely overwhelmed and excited! I felt like how I felt when I went on all my other mission trips, but this one would be much longer. Helping launch Faith Christian Academy has been a huge step of faith for my family. All these questions overwhelmed us over the past few months…are we making the right decision for our kids? Financial concerns and all the actual logistics to open the school.. was this really going to happen? Every time we doubted, God showed up to increase our faith, by pointing us to His Truth. The Bible is our guidebook. Most of the world makes decisions on lived experience and assessing the risk. Faith focuses on living by God’s Truth, path and pace.

FOCUS
Starting my coaching practice and staying focused on the goals, has revitalized my passions. In all these new areas of work and working out, the focus has been not only on what I can get out of the experience, but how my giftings can help others. Working for CAP, FCA and Freelyfeast coaching (my three part-time jobs) has fulfilled some passions within me that have been dormant for the past twelve years, as I have been in the business of raising kids. My primary role is still being a Mom, wife and daughter, but I am being empowered by the various ways I can give of myself in my “day jobs.” Life will always be crazy busy, but focusing on these areas of growth has given me a stronger connection to the Grower, God. As I focus more on how He guides and provides, I see the growth in me and I am thankful! Focus helps in finding your passions, path and pace in Him.
