Look I tell you the fields are white for harvest…. I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor. John 4:35-38
Last week a man from a simple upbringing with no political aspirations or agendas, passed from death to life. I remember in my early twenties singing in the volunteer choir beside my aunt in the alto section and being thrilled to be a part of this crusade. That week, I heard for myself, Billy Graham preach simple words with clear truth about a man greater than Him who inspired His life and lead to his enormous legacy. It is claimed that no evangelist in history can compare to Billy Graham and I agree. His fruitful life is an inspiration to the least and the greatest of men.
“My one purpose in life is to help people find a personal relationship with God, which I believe comes from knowing Christ.”—Billy Graham
Lots of articles share his story and are inspirational to read. Many have challenged me to continue to spread the good news to others. His life is in the spotlight for the week, but after the news fads his legacy will remain. I am inspired into action by seeing his clear focus and mission. Many great men and women have gone before me whose lives and writing have inspired and spurred me into action. Billy Graham is one such man. It is a delight to enter into their lives to see their fruitful labor and harvest.
Today, I dedicate this post to a great leader and his legacy. Tomorrow, I will keep on laboring in the harvest field. Where you plant me I will grow. Where you lead me I will go. Where you take me I will sow.
Fruitful Life
Grow. Go. Sow.
Who inspires you to keep going and growing in your faith?
“He was a man who had a purpose, a dedication in life; he knew where he was going. He wanted to please God more than any man I’d ever met.” —Ruth Bell Graham
